2008

“Preoccupations” consists of the responses of 111 Hong Kong-based artists about things that obsess them besides art or their artistic production; the things that distract them from getting the work and/or that aid them in pushing ideas forward. Originally published in 2008, the book includes the contributions of many notable Hong Kong-based artists of that year, both native Hong Kongers and expatriates, such as Kacey Wong, Pak Sheung Cheun, and the Map Office. “Preoccupations” is the co-production of Singapore based artist Michael Lee Hone Hwee and Hong Kong based artist and designer Cornelia Erdmann.
